Bigg Boss 7 contestant Armaan Kohli nabbed by police for assaulting girlfriend Neeru Randhawa

Mumbai: Bollywood actor and Bigg Boss 7 contestant Armaan Kohli has been nabbed by the Mumbai Police for assaulting girlfriend Neeru Randhawa. According to a report in ANI, Kohli was arrested by the Mumbai Police for assaulting his girlfriend. 

The actor, who reportedly went missing, was nabbed by the police after a case was filed against him.

Neeru, 35, had lodged the case against Kohli, 46, at the Santacruz police station last week.

As per the complainant, she was in a relationship with Kohli for past three years and they used to stay together in a flat in the suburb.

The duo had an argument over some monetary issue at their residence and during the altercation, he allegedly pushed the woman and she fell from the stairs. The accused then pulled her hair and banged her head on the floor, a police officer said citing the complaint.

She suffered head and knee injuries in the incident and was admitted to a hospital by her driver, reports suggest.

"Upon being informed about the incident, we went to the hospital and recorded the statement of the woman. Based on the statement, we booked him under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the IPC," said Shantanu Pawar, senior police inspector, Santacruz.

Kohli garnered limelight after he appeared in the seventh season of super-hit reality show Bigg Boss hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. 

Soon after the show, Kohli bagged the role of an antagonist in Salman starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, a film directed by Sooraj Barjatya in 2015.

Son of filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, Armaan began his acting career as a child artiste and later went on to do films like Virodhi, Dushman Zamana, Anaam, Koyal, Kohra, Dushmani, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani etc to name a few as the lead actor.

He made headlines during Bigg Boss 7 over his relationship with co-contestant Tanishaa Mukerji, daughter of veteran actress Tanuja. Armaan and Tanishaa were in a relationship for a brief period but headed for splitsville soon.
