Shabana Azmi hails triple talaq ban, says it is victory for Muslim women

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi took to Twitter recently to express her views on the 'Triple Talaq' ban by Supreme Court.

The actress welcomed the move by Supreme Court and termed it as a victory for all brave women who've battled against the custom for years.

For the uninitiated, Triple Talaq has been banned by Supreme Court. The Triple Talaq allowed a husband to utter the word 'Talaq' to his wife for three times continuously, thereby completing the divorce procedure instantly.
