Bank FD Schemes Launched In 2025 --Check Tenors, Interest Rates And Other Details

Several top Indian banks launched new schemes and enhanced fixed deposit products in January 2025, offering higher returns, greater flexibility, and tailored options for specific customers. 

 

Here is a list of top Indian banks that launched new FD schemes this years, and banks offering enhanced FD products.

 

SBI has introduced two deposit schemes for the general public and super senior citizens. The "Har Ghar Lakhpati" scheme allows customers to accumulate Rs 1 Lakh or more by depositing small savings monthly, becoming 'lakhpati' upon maturity. All residents and minors can open accounts, with deposit periods ranging from 3 to 10 years.

SBI Patrons FD is a fixed deposit scheme for super senior citizens aged 80 and above, with a minimum deposit of Rs 1000 and a maximum deposit of Rs 3 crore.

 

PNB has introduced two new fixed deposit tenures, a 303-day FD at 7% interest rate and a 506-day FD at 6.7% for general citizens. The bank currently offers interest rates ranging from 3.50% to 7.25% for 7 days to 10 years.

IDBI Bank has introduced the IDBI Chiranjeevi-Super Senior Citizen FD scheme as part of its limited-period Utsav FD scheme. The scheme caters to individuals aged 80 and above, offering attractive interest rates of 8.05% per annum for 555 days and 8.00% for 444 days.

Bank of Baroda has introduced the Liquid Fixed Deposit scheme for retail investors, allowing partial withdrawals without closing the entire deposit. The bank offers interest rates between 4.25% and 7.15% for general citizens, with the highest rate of 7.30% on the BoB Utsav Deposit Scheme of 400 Days. Senior citizens can also enjoy an additional 0.50% interest rate.
