Yearender 2022: Lata Mangeshkar, Raju Srivastav, Tunisha Sharma, Sidhu Moosewala and other Indian celebs who bid us adieu this year!

2022 is almost over and this year, we lost many eminent Indian celebrities. From musical legends to popular actors, the void created by their deaths can never be filled again. Following is a list of the famous Indian personalities who breathed their last in 2022!

Lata Mangeshkar doesn’t need an introduction. The doyen of music, was hailed as the Nightingale of India. She had been on regular therapy for pneumonia and COVID-19 for 28 days before bidding us all goodbye. 

Bappi Da had big box office hits not just in Bollywood but also in Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada movies. His songs remained popular well into the twenty-first century. He passed away on February 15, 2022, in Mumbai, of obstructive sleep apnea.

Pandit Birju Maharaj, the world-famous Kathak exponent, composer, and singer was a member of the Lucknow 'Kalka-Bindadin' Gharana. On the 16th of January 2022, just a month before his 85th birthday, we lost him to a heart attack.

KK, or Krishnakumar Kunnath, was a prominent playback singer. He gave a live music event at Nazrul Mancha auditorium in South Kolkata on May 31, 2022, he suffered a heart attack and left us all.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala or Sidhu Moosewala, was a popular musician, rapper, songwriter, and actor best known for his work in Punjabi music and cinema. On May 29, 2022, unidentified assailants shot and killed Moose Wala in his automobile in Jawaharke village, Mansa district.

 

Satya Prakash Srivastav, also known by the stage names Raju Srivastav and Gajodhar, was a noted comedian, actor, and politician who died on 21 September 2022.  

 

Veteran actor Arun Bali, who died on October 7, 2022, appeared in a large number of movies and TV shows.

TV actor Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi died while working out at a gym. The actor was known for his performances in shows like Kkusum, Waaris, and Suryaputra Karn.

Well-known TV actress Vaishali Takkar died by suicide on October 16. The police found the 29-year-old actress hanging from a ceiling fan of her home and also recovered a suicide note.

Kiran Bala Govil known professionally as Tabassum, was a veteran actress, talk show host and YouTuber, who started her career as child actor Baby Tabassum in 1947. She breathed her last in November this year.

The veteran actor was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital on 5 November 2022 in Pune, where he died due to multiple organ failure on 26 November 2022, at the age of 77.

The 24-year-old Bengali actor Aindrila Sharma died on Sunday after a week-long battle for life following a brain stroke, her family said.

The actor, who was in his 70s, breathed his last at his Vile Parle residence in Mumbai as reported by PTI.

'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' actor Deepesh Bhan passed away in July this year after suffering a heart attack.

Veteran TV actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi, who has done TV shows like Neeli Chatri Wale, Kayamat to name a few, passed away due to a heart ailment in his hometown Lucknow on August 3.

Tunisha Sharma passed away last night at the age of 20. She committed suicide on the sets of her recent show in the makeup room. She was one of the popular faces on TV and has worked in many Bollywood movies too.
