Not Only Al-Hakim Mosque, PM Narendra Modi Visited These Foreign Mosques As Well In The Past
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be concluding his two-day visit to Egypt today. PM Modi's visit has been hailed by analysts as a potential "game changer" for bilateral ties. The PM's trip to Egypt is expected to pave the way for a substantial increase in India's investment in the North African country and a ladder for Egypt to gain entry to the BRICS economic bloc. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday also conferred Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Egypt's highest state honour, the 'Order of the Nile' award, in Cairo. During his trip, PM Modi also visited Al-Hakim Mosque.
Al-Hakim Mosque, Egypt
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited the Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo, Egypt. The Al-Hakim Mosque is an 11th Century significant historical and cultural site in Egypt's Cairo. Istiqlal Mosque, Indonesia
This mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world located in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. In May 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited this mosque along with then Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
Chulia Mosque, Singapore
In May-June 2018, Modi visited three countries. These countries are- Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. During his visit to Singapore, Modi first reached Sri Mariamman Temple and then reached Chulia Masjid. This mosque was built by the Chulia Muslim community, which is a community of Tamil Muslims.
Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Oman
In February 2018, Modi went on a tour of four countries in West Asia, Jordan, Palestine, UAE and Oman. During this, Modi also visited the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Muscat, the capital of Oman. This is the largest mosque in Oman, made of Indian sandstone.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque, UAE
In August 2015, Modi went on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates. On the first day of this visit, Modi also visited the historic Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Then UAE's Higher Education Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan was also present with Modi.
