Schools reopen in Uttar Pradesh
Schools have been reopened in Uttar Pradesh for primary classes. Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Hindi, "Best wishes to students. The schools are reopening from today. All teachers are requested to take care of students and follow Covid protocol."

Schools have been reopened with adherence to strict COVID-19 protocols. "We see a lot of enthusiasm in students to attend physical classes after a long time," Deepali Gautam, principal of City Montessori School, Station Road Campus in Lucknow, told ANI.

Students seen entering school after more than a year
Classes are being held in UP in two shifts of three hours -- from 8 am to 11.00 am and from 11.30 am to 3:30 pm -- with 50 per cent students of a class in each shift.
The schools were closed in the state since March 20 last year when the government imposed a lockdown to stem the transmission of COVID-19.

Students' hands were sanitized before entering the school premises. Meanwhile, UP had reopened schools for classes from 9 to 12 and 6 to 8 were started from August 16 and August 24 respectively.
