Weather Update: IMD Predicts No Heatwave Condition For Next 5 Days, Heavy Rainfall In Tamil Nadu, Karnataka & Puducherry

IMD in its daily weather bulletin, predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and South interior Karnataka on May 7.

According to IMD, there are no significant changes in the maximum temperatures of most parts of India and the country will not witness any heatwave conditions for next 5 days.

Heavy to very heavy rainfalls are likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands will and South interior Karnataka on May 7, stated IMD.

According to the Met Department, the states of Haryana and Punjab will witness hailstorms with lightning and gusty winds on May 6.

IMD has advised fishermen to not venture into the seas of the South East Bay of Bengal, Adman & Nicobar Island and Andaman Sea as squally weather with wind speeds reaching 60 kmph will prevail in these areas for the next 3 days.

According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning and gusty winds is likely over isolated places in North East India in the next 2 days.
