Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been named as the ICC Men's Test Cricketer of the Year for 2024. Bumrah was the standout bowler in the world in 2024, excelling in both home and away conditions in Test cricket.

Bumrah was far and away the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket in 2024, topping the charts with 71, well clear of second-placed Gus Atkinson of England (52 in 11).

Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid was the first Indian to win the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year award in 2004. Dravid scored 946 runs in 18 Test innings at an average of 63 in 2024 with two centuries and four half-centuries.  

Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir won ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year award in 2009. He scored 727 runs in five Tests in 2009 at an average of 90.87. His tally included four centuries and one half-century.

 

Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag won the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year Award in 2010 for scoring 1422  runs in 14 Tests at an average of 61.82. He scored five centuries and eight half-centuries that year. His highest Test score in 2010 was 173 runs off 199 balls, which came against New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin won the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year Award in 2016. Ashwin picked 72 wickets in 12 Tests at an average of 23.90 that year.

Apart from his brilliant bowling, Ashwin also scored 612 runs with the bat during the year at an average of 43.71 including two centuries and four half centuries.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli won the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year Award in 2018. Kohli scored 1322 test runs that year at an average of 55.08 and was highly successful as a batter on the Test tour of England and South Africa that year.
