Amid the pandemic people have been forced to keep their distance even from their relatives specially the elderly and children. So, parents in Japan are instead sending baby-like bags of rice with the picture of the baby for them to cuddle. See pics

Due to COVID the elderly have been barred from meeting newborn babies, infact most relatives are avoiding sociallising in these trying times.
