Man transporting cows in Rajasthan shot dead

Alwar: One of the three people transporting cows was shot dead in Rajasthan's Alwar district on Sunday, the police said.

An investigation is currently on to identify the victim and his attacker.

There was no one known to them at the scene of the crime and efforts are also on to identify them, police officer Anil Benwal told ANI.

It was, however, not immediately clear whether it was a case of lynching.

This year, there had been several instances of assault on people ferrying bovines. While not all of the cases resulted in deaths, some saw people getting grievously injured
