Baahubali 2: Prabhas’ film ‘not suitable’ for viewers under 16 in Singapore?

Mumbai: The second half of SS Rajamouli’s two-part film – Baahubali – starring Prabhas, that has now become a monstrous hit across the globe, has reportedly got ‘NC16’ certificate by Singapore certification board.

According to a report in DNA, the concluding part of the Prabhas starrer is not suitable for viewers under the age of 16! Yes, you read that right.

“We granted Baahubali 2: The Conclusion a ‘UA’ with virtually no cuts. In Singapore, they found Baahubali too violent. The war scenes, specially of soldiers being beheaded, were taken to be excessively gruesome by their censor board. In many countries of Asia and Europe more Bollywood films get ‘A’ certificate than we do in India,” DNA quoted Pahlaj Nihalani, chairperson, Central Board of Film Certification, as saying.

Well, this must be disappointing for fans under 16 years of age!

The epic film, which has now turned out to be India’s biggest blockbuster in the global market released on April 28. It features Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah Bhatia and Nasser in pivotal roles.
