New Delhi: Stargazers are in for a spectacular treat this month! The Orionids meteor shower that peaked in the month of October, left sky gazers and space enthusiasts asking for more, and the month of November promises to give all that and more!
The month of November will have the world witness a gathering of planets, moons, and meteor showers. Below is a list astronomical events that you just wouldn't want to miss!

1. Moon, Saturn and Venus:

As per National Geographic, November 3rd will have a crescent moon joining Saturn in the southwestern sky just after sunset, with the two appearing less than three degrees apart. On the left, a bright Venus will join the two to form a dazzling trio in the night sky.

According to Universe Today, Venus will be shining at magnitude -4.0, Saturn will be 20 times fainter with a deep magnitude +0.5, and the crescent moon will be hanging above them. During this time, the moon will be just two days past apogee, the farthest point in its orbit from Earth.

2. Jupiter:

If you look toward the east-southeast sky above the brightest star in the constellation Virgo – Spica, you will be able to spot Jupiter. You can treat yourself to this amazing view every morning just before sunrise.

3. Supermoon:

November 14 will witness the crescent moon waxing into a full moon. This is a big event since, it will be the biggest and brightest supermoon since 1948, and another one when the moon is this close will not happen until 2034. As per Nature World News, this month's supermoon is also called "Beaver Moon," as it arrives at the time of year when hunters are setting traps on the swamps before they froze over to make sure they will have enough furs for the winter.

4. Taurids, Leonids and November Orionids Meteor Shower:

Here is the surprising part - the Orionids meteor shower, which peaked on October 21 to 22, will be visible until November 7. The Taurid meteor shower will peak on November 11, where the meteors will radiate from its namesake constellation Taurus, the Bull, which will be high in the south sky during the overnight hours for regions in the mid-northern latitude, Nature World News reported.
