Australia vs India, 3rd T20: All-rounder Yuvraj Singh is back with a bang!

New Delhi: Indian selectors shown their trust in all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, ahead of the ICC World T20, and the comeback king proved the selectors right in the final match of three-match T20 series against Australia Down Under.

Yuvi didn't get a chance to bat in the first two T20's as Indian top-order continue to fire. But in the third match, when skipper MS Dhoni promoted Yuvraj ahead of him, India required almost 50 runs in the last five overs, with required rate touching ten.

Yuvraj looked out of sorts till the penultimate over Indian innings. The southpaw was playing on five after facing nine balls, without a boundary to his account.

However, from the other end, Suresh Raina was hitting big boundaries to keep the run-rate under check.

Though, in the end the equation went down to 17 off six balls, with Yuvraj on strike.

But the veteran batsman kept his cool and used his vast experience to hold his nerves at the crucial juncture of the match.

Pacer Andrew Tye was set to bowl the last over of the match. The 34-year-old once again turned the table as he collected eleven runs off the first three balls, with the help of a boundary, a six and a single.

Yuvi's arrival not only eased out the pressure on Raina, but gave India the tempo at the perfect time to snatch the match away from the hosts. Though Raina gave the finishing touches in the next three balls to win the thriller by seven wickets, but Yuvraj's unbeaten cameo of 15 off 12 balls made the difference in the end.

Yuvraj, for the second time, picked up the wicket of dangerous Glenn Maxwell, that too in a well planned way, to highlight his utility with the ball as well.

On top, his outstanding fielding in the series shows that the seasoned all-rounder is all set to play a crucial role for Dhoni in the ICC World T20, which is to be played in India.
