ICC World Twenty20 2016: I am hopeful India will bring the cup, says Anil Kumble

New Delhi: India are certainly the favourites to win the ICC World T20, which is taking place on their home soil.

Like many others, former Indian skipper Anil Kumble also asserted that that hopefully Mahendra Singh Dhoni & Co would win the coveted trophy for the 2nd time, this time around.

"The world cup is round the corner and I am hoping that India will bring the cup," Kumble told reporters here on the sidelines of a training program of his academy Tenvic.

While talking about the high-profile clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan the ace leg spinner said, “Whenever India played against any one, we played for the cause of the team."

Kumble also hailed premier Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

"He (R Ashwin) is really capable. Probably he is the number one spinner in the world and performed well over the years."
