DDCA springs into action, Delhi on course to host 4th Test

New Delhi: The fourth and final Test between India and South Africa is on course to be played as originally scheduled at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, pending issues have been expedited by DDCA officials after High Court- appointed observer Justice (retd) Mukul Mudgal charge.
On Saturday, DDCA got the provisional certificate and it the cricket association is expected to pay property and entertainment tax today.
“We are going to pay`50 lakh as property tax and ` 50 lakh as entertainment tax. In addition, we will be paying the advance money for tickets and sponsorship rights so that we are on firm ground and meet the deadline to host the final Test,” Ravinder Manchanda, DDCA's treasurer, told HT.

The decision on the price of tickets was taken by the DDCA's Executive Committee on Sunday.
While Justice Mudgal has said that under-privileged school children may get to watch the match for free subject to court order, there is a possibility that DDCA might buy the bulk tickets for these children. For those school kids, whose parents can afford, they would need to spend only Rs 10 for a day's ticket and Rs 50 for season ticket.
