Another handy contribution came from Sheldon Jackson, who remained unbeaten on 82 at stumps.
Jadeja, who has fallen out of favour with the Indian team selectors, occupied the crease for 138 balls and scored at a decent strike rate of 65.94. He ended with 11 boundaries.
Sheldon too played a solid knock when his team needed.
His 152-ball innings comprised eight fours and a six.
Abhijit Dey did the maximum damage for Tripura, taking four wickets including the scalps of Pujara and Jadeja.
