Sourav Ganguly: Don’t know if Cricket Advisory Committee exists at all

New Delhi: Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly took a dig on the high-profile Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) formed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) by saying that 'I don’t know whether that committee exists at all'.

The committee was an initiative taken by BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur and late Jagmohan Dalmiya as president, and it comprises former Indian cricket legends - Sachin Tendulkar, Ganguly and VVS Laxman.

While talking about the committee, Sourav, who is currently heading the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) said: “To be honest, I don’t know whether that committee exists at all. I think the team is doing well and may be we will have to think about it in future.”

CAC was made to give advise to world's richest board on crucial cricket related matters.

Interestingly, ever since new president Shashank Manohar took over the reins, the Indian Cricket Board is now obliged to list all its committees, expenditures, income and other important developments on its website. All committees of the BCCI have been uploaded on the website with their details except for the Cricket Advisory Committee.
