The right-hander, who replaced Michael Clarke as Australia's skipper across formats, made life miserable for the Indian bowlers when MS Dhoni & Co toured Australia in 2014-15.
Smith made his Test debut against Pakistan in 2010, did not have a great start to his career where he was dismissed for 1 and 12 at Lords ground.
