Asian countries have assured support and participation of their grapplers in the upcoming Pro Wrestling League, to be organised by India, and complimented the national federation for coming up with an "unique" tournament.

New Delhi: Asian countries have assured support and participation of their grapplers in the upcoming Pro Wrestling League, to be organised by India, and complimented the national federation for coming up with an "unique" tournament.
Wrestling Federation of India's president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh briefed the Asian delegates about the upcoming Pro Wrestling League on the sidelines of the World Championships in Las Vegas and the meeting was "fruitful".
"The WFI President briefed the delegates about the Pro Wrestling League being organised by WFI in November. All the Asian delegates unanimously appreciated WFI's efforts and assured all support for the success of the League. The delegates assured participation of their respective wrestlers in the League," WFI's assistant secretary Vinod Tomar said in a release today.
"The President of Asian Wrestling Federation, Dr. Chang Kew Kim was particularly happy with the League and complimented Mr Brijbbhushan Sharan Singh and the organising committee for this unique tournament in Asian sub continent.
"He had a fruitful meeting with the Asian delegates in Las Vegas on Friday."
WFI's ambitious venture was launched in the presence of double Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar and other star grapplers amid much funfare in July.
