MUST READ: Rio 2016 silver medalist P. V. Sindhu​'s emotional note after whirlwind week

New Delhi: PV Sindhu captured the imagination of the entire country with her stunning performance at the recently concluded Rio Olympics.

The 21-year-old shuttler was denied a gold medal by the sheer brilliance of Spain's Carolina Marin.

The Hyderabad girl was rightly accorded a hero's welcome on her return to India. 

Sindhu had to shuttle from one government function to another at a time when she would have preferred to relax at home with her family.

Also there were media interactions and other formalities she had to complete before getting a much-needed break from the public glare.

After the dust finally settled, Sindhu found sometime to gather her thoughts about what exactly went down in the last fortnight.

The youngster penned a rather emotional note, thanking people who contributed to her Olympics success.
