Airtel offers 6 GB data for prepaid users on 80% discount at Rs 147 per month

New Delhi: The mobile telephony subscriber has never had it so good. Bharti Airtel has come out with a new plan in which it will be offering 6 GB of 4G data for just Rs 147 with a validity of 28 days.

The offer is valid only for prepaid users

It can be seen only in the ‘only for you’ deals section of Airtel’s recharge app or website.

Since the service providers main target is to retain its old subscribers, it is unlikely to be available to new subscribers.

Without offer, the 6 GB pack costs around Rs 800 per month, so Airtel's new offer is at a discount of nearly 80%.

The offer of Rs 147 for 6 GB is too good for subscribers, and may be too expensive for Airtel to continue for long. Airtel used to charge Rs 250 for 1 GB before Jio’s entry.

The company is devising ways and means for ensuring that it's data consumption does not dip due to Jio's Happy New Offer.

Reliance Jio, under Happy New Year is offering 1 GB of 4G data free per day.
