Balrampur: Two children and a woman were injured in a leopard attack in a village in Bankatva forest range here, police said on Thursday.
The leopard attacked Anita (5) and Rajni (30), who were sleeping in the courtyard of their house in Binauni village, early yesterday and the animal fled when they raised an alarm, Harraiya police station in-charge Gyanendra Pandey said.
Then the fleeing leopard injured Ranno Devi (10) in Bhawanideeh area, he said.
Anita has been admitted to the district hospital with serious injuries while others were let go after first aid, Pandey said.
Forest ranger Tilak Ram Arya said villagers have been advised to take precautions in the night in view of the recent incidents.
