DNA: Abhinandan honoured with 'Veer Chakra’, Dhoundiyal awarded with Shaurya Chakra posthumously

The soldiers who contributed to the security of the country were honored with gallantry awards on Monday. For this, Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman, who shot down Pakistan's F-16 fighter jet in an aerial combat, was honored with the Vir Chakra by President Ram Nath Kovind. At the same time, martyr Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal, who killed five terrorists in Pulwama, was awarded the Shaurya Chakra posthumously.
