The villagers around the forest had become so attached to the tigress of Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh that the news of the death of the tigress filled the eyes of the people. The whole village gathered in the funeral rites of the tigress and the people of the village performed the last rites of the tigress in the same way as the funeral of a human is done.
