A Right Start To The Day

A healthy routine in the morning will ensure your physical and mental health are in better shape, making you more productive which in turn can lead to success. Follow some simple steps to ensure your start your day on the right note.

Plan Ahead Night Before

To ensure that your morning starts on a good note, do some preparations the night before. Be it creating a to-do list for the next day, having your work clothes for the next day sorted, or keeping a nutritious, easy meal ready, a little planning will ensure that your mornings are calmer and you are less stressed.

Get Up At A Fixed Time

Starting early is the best but in case you work in late shifts, it's important to have a set pattern - a fixed time to go to bed and get up. This will keep your body's circadian rhythm stable. This means better sleep, better productivity, and better health.

Don't Hit Snooze Button

Don't procrastinate, rather get up at least 10 minutes earlier than you need to. You don’t have to rush to finish your tasks if you follow this.

Write Reminders

Instead of bed tea or coffee, have water first thing in the morning. This will help your body flush out toxins, improve metabolism, increase energy and immunity, and aid weight loss. It will also keep your digestive functions smooth.

Mindfully, Brush Your Teeth

Brushing our teeth early in the morning is a task most of us do but rarely focus on. Pay close attention to each step, from toothpaste squeeze to mouth rinse, and see your body relaxing.

Meditate

Find a comfortable space in your home, focus on your breath, and meditate. If you are new to meditation, you can take the help of the numerous meditation apps that are out there.

Do Some Exercises

A brisk walk or jog can do wonders as can a session in the gym. If you are used to working out in the evenings, do at least 10 minutes of exercise at home. It will leave you energised and better your overall health.

A balanced breakfast will ensure that you are not left 'hangry' - an empty stomach often leaves us stressed and angry and after a long meal gap (since dinner), it's important to have a healthy breakfast that will boost your overall health as well as your mood.
