Break apart the desired number of garlic cloves from the bulb.
Place the separated cloves in a bowl and rinse them under cold running water to remove any dirt.
Fill a bowl with warm water and submerge the garlic cloves. Let them soak for about 5-10 minutes.
After soaking, take a clove and gently squeeze it with your fingers. The skin should loosen and slide off easily.
If the skin remains stubborn, use the flat side of a knife to lightly tap the clove, which can help loosen the skin further.
Continue this process with the remaining cloves until all are peeled.
Once peeled, pat the garlic cloves dry with a paper towel before using them in your recipes.
