Serve the Avalakki Akki Rotti hot with chutney, sambar, or yogurt for a healthy, delicious meal.
Heat a tawa or non-stick pan on medium heat. Place the flattened dough onto the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Divide the dough into small portions. Flatten each portion into a round, thin disc on a piece of parchment paper or a greased surface.
Slowly add water little by little, mixing until you get a dough-like consistency (not too soft or hard).
Add finely chopped green chilies, cumin seeds, and salt to the mixture. Mix everything well.
In a large mixing bowl, add rice flour, chopped vegetables (carrot, onions, etc.), and the soaked avalakki.
Wash and soak the flattened rice (avalakki) in water for about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
