Authentic & Delicious Punjabi Lauki Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:

Grated lauki (bottle gourd), milk, sugar, ghee, grated khoya (optional), cardamom powder and chopped nuts

Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan on medium flame for that rich aroma of halwa.

Step 2

Add grated lauki to the pan and cook for a few minutes until it softens and the raw smell goes away.

Step 3

Pour in the milk and cook on low heat until lauki absorbs it completely and turns soft. Keep Stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Mix in sugar and khoya. Stir well and cook until the halwa thickens.

Step 5

Add cardamom powder, chopped nuts and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 6

Your delicious Punjabi Lauki Halwa is ready! Serve it warm and enjoy this sweet delight.
