How to Make Crunchy Fried Chicken at Home

Step 1

Chop chicken into pieces, if you want, you can skin the chicken pieces too.

Step 2

Put some flour in a plastic bag, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Step 3

Dip the chicken in buttermilk, then put it in the bag too. Seal it and shake until it’s coated.

Step 4

Place the coated chicken on a tray and cover with wax paper. Let it sit until the flour gets pasty.

Step 5

Heat oil in a skillet until it’s really hot.

Step 6

Fry the chicken in the skillet until it’s brown on both sides. Then lower the heat, cover, and cook for 30 more minutes. Uncover and cook again to make it crispy.

Step 7

Drain the fried chicken on paper towels and keep it warm in the oven while you cook the rest.
