3/4 cup besan, 3/4 cup milk, melted ghee, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder, 1 tbsp chopped almonds (badam) and 1 tbsp chopped pistachios
Mix the besan, 2 tbsp of milk and 1 tbsp of ghee in a bowl and knead it into a dough and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Grate the dough thinly using a grater and keep it aside.
Heat some ghee in a broad vessel, add the grated dough and let it cook on a low flame for 10 minutes with constant stirring.
Add milk and ¾ cup of water in a deep vessel (preferably kadhai) and boil it.
Add the cooked dough mixture to the vessel and heat it on a medium flame for 3 minutes, with constant stirring .
Add some sugar, cardamom powder, almonds and pistachios to the mixture and cook on a medium flame for 8 minutes, with constant.
Garnish the hot Besan Sheera with some additional chopped almonds and pistachios.
