Narada sting probe: ED interrogates Bengal minister

Kolkata: West Bengal Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Subrata Mukherjee was on Thursday quizzed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Narada sting footage probe, an official said.
Mukherjee, who states Panchayat, Rural Development, and Public Health Engineering Minister, was among a dozen Trinamool leaders allegedly caught on video receiving money in exchange for a promise to dole out favors to a fictitious company.
The clipping was uploaded on the Narada news portal in March last year ahead of the state assembly elections.
The investigating agency had on Wednesday interrogated Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim and also grilled state Fire and Emergency Services, Housing and Environment Minister Sovan Chatterjee on Thursday.
Besides Mukherjee, Chatterjee and Hakim, Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari were also summoned by the investigating agency.
Trinamool MP Sultan Ahmed and Kolkata Deputy Mayor Iqbal Ahmed were also interrogated.
