Hello and welcome to our live coverage of match number 17 of IPL 2020 between Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad, that is all set to take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Mumbai Indians have completed an emphatic 34-run win over SunRisers Hyderabad. The victory was a cummulative result of a disciplined bowling and some brilliant batting early-on. Skipper David Warner (60 off 44 balls) fought a lone battle for his side as wickets kept tumbling at the other end.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bat first against SunRisers Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians have posted a handsome total of 208/5 from their alloted 20 overs. Quinton de Kock anchored the innings with a rapid 67 off 39 balls, after the early dismissal of Rohit Sharma. He engaged in vital partnerships with Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan in the middle overs and never let the run-rate dwindle.

Hardik Pandya and Keiron Pollard made vital contributions right at the death but it was the fireworks from Krunal Pandya in the last over which powered Mumbai past the 200-run mark. Krunal scored a 20 off just 4 balls at the expense of SRH pacer Siddharth Kaul.

Both sides are coming into the game on the back of impressive wins. While defending champions Mumbai defeated Kings XI Punjab by 48 runs in their last outing, SunRisers Hyderabad have won two consecutive encounters after a rather dismal start to their campaign.

SunRisers Hyderabad had lost their opening two games but have turned the tides in their favor on the back of some impressive bowling performances. In their last two games, they successfully defended totals of 162 and 164 against Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings respectively.

Their batting though has failed to provide the lusty blows to take them to big totals. Their biggest total from these four games is a paltry 164 and they would look to turn this around against the Mumbai Indians.

SunRisers were dealt a further blow when their pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar hobbled away with an injury in their last game against CSK, it remains to be seen who is brought on as Bhuvi's replacement.

Mumbai Indians have just the opposite story. They have scored big runs but their bowling has leaked runs at will. So we can say that based on current form, it's a contest between Mumbai Indians strong batting against the SunRisers bowling.

Sharjah is the smallest of the three grounds of IPL 2020 and has witnessed huge totals till now in all the matches played here. With both sides boasting of big-hitters in their ranks, we expect this to be an all-out run fest.

Mumbai Indians have completed an emphatic 34-run win against SunRisers Hyderabad. Keiron Pollard bowls five dot balls in the final over against Rashid Khan to give his side a victory by a bigger margin. Good day in the field for the big man. SRH: 174/7 (20 overs)

19:21 IST

OUT!! Wicket!! Abhishek Sharma is dismissed by Bumrah. Tried to go for a reverse scoop but Bumrah land the yorker perfectly and rattles the stumps. SRH: 172/7 (19 Overs)

19:19 IST

OUT!! WICKET!! Samad is dismissed by Bumrah to put the final nail in the coffin. Samad played a nice hand with a rapid 20 off 9 balls. SRH: 168/6 (18.2 Overs)

19:14 IST

Warner's dismissal perhaps decided the match. No one has been able to give him able company. Yongsters Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad have too much to do at their hands and Samad hits a four and a six off Bumrah to give some smiles to the SRH camp. Boult, meanwhile, has completed a fine spell of 4-0-28-2. SRH: 162/5 (18 Overs)

19:02 IST

OUT!! HUGE WICKET!! David Warner is gone. Warner tried to cut the wide leg cutter from Pattinson but the ball takes a thick edge and Ishan Kishan completes a fantastic diving catch at short thrid man. SRH: 144/5 (16 Overs)

18:49 IST

OUT!! Wicket!! Priyam Garg is gone! Wonderful catch from Rahul Chahar in the deep. It was a full-toss from Krunal Pandya but Priyam Garg fails to middle it and Chahar takes a brilliant catch in the deep. SRH: 139/4 (15 Overs)

18:38 IST

OUT!! WICKET!! Kane Williamson is gone in a weird dismissal. It was a slower ball from Trent Boult and Williamson gets caught in two minds - whether to play the upper cut or not. He is very late into his decision and ends up playing a half upper-cut straight into the hands of keeper Quinton de Kock. Boult dismisses his compatriot Williamson. SRH: 123/3 (13 Overs)

18:35 IST

Warner has completed his fifty. So far in the tournament he has failed to time the ball but now it looks like that the Australian is finally finding his feet in the middle. Very mature innings from the captain as he has fought it out in the middle. Kane Williamson is the new man in and SRH will rely on these two to get them closer to MI's mammoth total. SRH: 115/2 (12 Overs)

18:23 IST

OUT!! WICKET!! Manish Pandey is gone. Tried to go over long on against James Pattinson but gets caught by Pollard at long-on. Pandey was looking good and he would be disappointed with this shot. It was not needed at this stage. He has put his side's chances in jeopardy. SRH: 94/2 (10 Overs)

18:19 IST

SRH remain on par. Both batsmen are getting into the act and showing their intent. The duo hit 16 runs off Rahul Chahar's first over to make their intentions clear. Pandey and Warner are making sure that the run-rate doesn't dip. Also, the Mumbai bowlers are not bowling as per the set field. SRH: 86/1 (9 Overs)

18:08 IST

Dropped!! Manish Pandey is dropped by Hardik Pandya off Pollard at deep point. That was a sitter and Pollard is disappointed. Pandey, had himself dropped De Kock in the MI innings and now he has got the gift back. But this was a much easier catch and should have been taken. SRH: 70-1 (8 Overs)

18:00 IST

Good from SRH here. Manish Pandey is the new man in and is looking in fine touch, aving already hit three fours. David Warner too has started to get into the act as he hits Bumrah for two fours in the latters first over. SRH: 56-1 (6 overs)

17:51 IST

OUT!! WICKET!! Bairstow is gone. The one who was timing them well miscues a big shot against a slower ball from Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya takes a good catch in the deep. SRH: 34/1 (4.1 Overs)

17:48 IST

While Bairstow is timing it sweetly, Warner is stuttering at the other end at a lowly 6 off 10 balls. He tries a big pull from the last ball of Pattinson's second over but the ball lands safely. He needs to start timing them big time today. SRH: 34/0 (4 Overs)

17:40 IST

Good start by SRH openers or shall we say Jonny Bairstow. The Englishman has already raced to 18 off just 9 balls. SRH do need a big innings from him today. SRH: 20/0 (2 Overs)

17:32 IST

David Warner and Jonny Bairstow open SunRisers Hyderabad's innings against Mumbai Indians' pacer Trent Boult. SRH: 0/0 (0 Overs)

17:23 IST

Mumbai Indians have posted a handsome 208/5 after Krunal Pandya's late frantics. With just 1 run and a wicket coming from the first two balls, the elder Pandya hits 20 runs from the final four balls off Siddharth Kaul. MI: 208/5 (20 Overs)

17:11 IST

Out!! Wicket!! Hardik Pandya is bowled by Siddharth Kaul. Two beautiful yorkers from him. MI: 188/5 (19.2 Overs)

17:05 IST

Great over from Natarajan again. With Pandya and Pollard both at the crease, he still gives away only 13 runs in the penultimate over of the innings. The duo tried to show their power in that over and hit a four and a six but Natarajan sticks to his plan and bowls some fantastic wide yorkers. MI: 187/4 (19 Overs)

16:59 IST

Good 17th over from Natarajan. Even after being hit for a six on the first ball, he only gives away a total of 10 runs from that over. In the next over, Sandeep Sharma doesn't help matters as he bowls two full tosses against Pollard who graciously hits them both for six. MI: 174/4 (18 Overs)

16:55 IST
16:52 IST

Wow!! What an over from Rashid Khan. With big-hitters like Hardik and Keiron Pollard at the crease, the wily spinner gives away just 2 runs from his last over and returns figures of 4-0-22-1. MI: 149/4 (16 Overs)

16:47 IST

Wicket!! Out!! A fielders wicket!! Manish Pandey it is! Ishan Kishan is dismissed by Sandeep Sharma. He had dropped Quinton de Kock early on and in just this very over from Sandeep Sharma he had misfielded one in the deep which went to the boundary. Manish Pandey makes amends with a fantastic diving catch in the deep. One of the best in the tournament so far. Beautiful stuff. MI: 147/4 (15 Overs)

16:38 IST

OUT!! WICKET!! Huge wicket! Quinton de Kock is dismissed caught and bowled by Rashid Khan. De Kock tried to go big against the guile of Rashid but miscues it and hits it straight up. Rashid completes a fantastiC running catch. A big sigh of relief for Manish Pandey, whose drop was proving very costly. MI: 134/3 (14 Overs)

16:31 IST
16:28 IST

De Kock has started to add insult to injury after Pandey's drop. He has graciously accepted that gift and crosses his fifty. This is De Kock's first fifty of IPL 2020. De Kock and Ishan Kishan score 17 off Williamson's second over. MI: 111/2 (12 Overs)

16:24 IST
16:17 IST

Pandey's drop is proving to be costly now. Quinton de Kock has started to middle it now, for the first time in this edition. He hits a six and four of Abdul Samad's second over, with a total of 16 runs coming from it. MI: 83/2 ( 9 Overs)

16:13 IST
16:07 IST

Dropped!! How costly will this prove to be ? Manish Pandey has dropped Quinton de Kock at long-on and parried the ball away for a six. Of all people it's Manish Pandey, one of the best fielders in indian cricket. De Kock failed to middle it against Abdul Samad and Pandey makes a mess of it in the deep. It was a difficult chance but easy by Pandey's lofty standards, who perhaps misjudged his position from the boundary line and tried to take the catch a little too early. MI: 67/2 (8 Overs)

16:01 IST

OUT!! WICKET!! Suryakumar Yadav is gone. He had raced away to 27 off just 12 balls and was taking Siddharth Kaul to the cleaners. Kaul gets lucky when Yadav fails to get hold of a ball going down the leg side and hits it straight to short fine leg. That ball deserved a four or a six but how lucky is Kaul. Very lucky boy. MI: 48/2 (6 Overs)

15:58 IST

While Suryakumar Yadav is looking in great touch, Quinton de Kock is still finding his feet. De Kock is stuttering at 13 off 12 balls while Yadav is racing away. MI: 38/1 (5 Overs)

15:46 IST

Good counter-attack from de Kock and new man-in Suryakumar Yadav. Siddharth Kaul, playing his first match of this edition is hit four four boundaries in his first over. 18 runs from his first over. MI: 25/1 (3 Overs)

15:41 IST
15:36 IST

WICKET!! OUT!! Big Wicket!! Rohit Sharma is gone. He has nicked a certain wide. What an opening over from Sandeep Sharma. Rohit had hit him for a huge six early on but he then bowls an away swingers wide outside the off stump. Rohit tried to chase the ball and gets an edge. Umpire had given not out but after loud appeals from the bowler and the wicket-keeper, Warner takes the review and the original decision is overturned. MI: 6/1 (1 Over)

15:32 IST

Meanwhile, David Warner has reached an important milestone for SRH.

15:29 IST

Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock will open Mumbai Indians' innings against SunRisers Hyderabad's Sandeep Sharma. MI: 0/0 (0 Overs)
