New Delhi: Perhaps, science may fail to answer this question! The doctors in Telangana's biggest government-run hospital these days are keeping themselves busy chanting Mrityunjaya mantra in order to lower the number of deaths.
Following this, a number of patients on Tuesday complained of unavailability of doctors as the senior gynaecologists were busy chanting mantras for hours.
The hospital experience a large number of patients' footfall everyday. The gynaecology department is particularly visited by the economically backward class.
Reportedly, a large number of newborn deaths were reported from the gynaecology ward of Hyderabad-based Gandhi Hospital lately.
Owing to which, the doctors were suggested to conduct special prayers to please the almighty.
The 'pooja', which was conducted by doctors of the obstetrics department, had prior permission of the hospital superintendent.
A probe has been ordered in this connection, reported India Today.
