Encounter in J&K: Two Army jawans martyred, 2 terrorists killed at Hajin in Bandipora

Jammu: Two jawans were martyred and two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out at the Hajin area of Bandipore in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Three security personnel were also injured in the encounter, as per an ANI report.

A fierce gunbattle started between security forces and militants at the Hajin area of Bandipora in the north Kashmir in the wee hours today. At least two to three militants were believed to be holed up at the spot.
The operation was going on till last reports were received.
The encounter broke out just two days after a joint team of security forces killed top Jaish e Mohammad commander Umer Khalid. In a separate incident, an Army jawan had also died in the brief encounter with militants in the Budgam district of the state.
On Monday, three Hizbul-Mujahideen terrorists were killed in a gunbattle with security forces in the Shopian district. One of the terrorists, who was gunned down in Gatipora village, was identified as Abid.
