New Delhi: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has sought a response of the Director, AIIMS on a plea by ex-CVO of the institute Sanjiv Chaturvedi seeking perjury proceedings against the Director.
Chaturvedi approached the Tribunal on May 25 demanding that all the work for which the post of Deputy Secretary at AIIMS was created should be allocated to him.
According to the basic reference order issued by the Health Ministry on June 23, 2011, the officer joining the post of Deputy Secretary would be given the task of monitoring and supervision of infrastructure projects going on in the institute, management and control of the institute and coordination with multi-disciplinary experts.
In his petition to CAT, Chaturvedi, a Magsaysay awardee, has demanded that the order of the Health Ministry be immediately implemented as he was totally "jobless" for the past one year after being removed from the post of CVO.
In response to the Tribunal's notice, the Director said that the June 23, 2011 order regarding work allocation of the Health Ministry has been implemented in "letter and spirit".
Following this, Chaturvedi, filed an application before the Tribunal placing the documents that he was never allocated any office work and sought perjury proceedings against the Dircetor.
The Tribunal has fixed the next hearing on October 15.
