Machhal attack: Army pays rich tributes to soldier killed near LoC

Ghazipur (UP): The Army on Thursday paid rich tributes to slain soldier Manoj K Kushwah in his home town in Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

Kushwah died fighting terrorists in Machhal sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kushwah's mortal remains were on Thursday brought to his ancestral home where the Army paid rich tributes to the soldier with gun salutes in the presence of scores of people.

The army has vowed to avenge the killing of the soldier.

Meanwhile, an anti-terror operation is currently on in Tujjer village of Sopore in Baramulla. It is believed that 1-2 terrorists are hiding in the village.

A joint team of the Army and the police is currently carrying out the operation.
