Maruti Fronx Hybrid
Maruti Fronx Hybrid: The Maruti Fronx, a popular compact crossover, is getting a mid-life update in 2025. If media reports are to be believed, it will be Maruti’s first model with a strong hybrid system, featuring a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, offering an expected mileage of 30-35 km/l. Maruti Baleno
2. New-Gen Maruti Baleno: The next-gen Maruti Baleno (codenamed YTA) is expected to launch in 2026 with a strong hybrid powertrain. Similar to the updated Fronx, it is also likely to use the same 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine, offering high mileage. Major design and feature upgrades are anticipated.
3. Maruti Compact Electric MPV (YMC): As per media reports, Maruti is working on a compact electric MPV based on the e-Heartect platform. Expected to launch by the 2026 festive season, it will be the company’s first electric MPV in India. Currently, more details of the vehicle are not available.

Suzuki Spacia
4. Maruti Compact MPV (YDB): Inspired by the Suzuki Spacia sold in Japan, reportedly this new compact MPV will compete with the Renault Triber. The India-spec model, expected in 2026, may not have sliding doors to keep costs low. It could be sold via Nexa dealerships.
5. Maruti Micro SUV (Y43): According to media reports, Maruti is also planning to rival the Tata Punch with a new micro SUV (codenamed Y43). Expected by Diwali 2026, it will be positioned below the Brezza, targeting budget SUV buyers.
