Hyundai Staria Lounge Camper unveiled, gets a pop-up tent and air mattress

Hyundai Staria is the company's latest modular MPV that promises multiple configurations with 2 to 11 seats. After launching the cargo van and a 15-seat school bus dubbed Kinder (German for "children") variants, Hyundai has now introduced Lounge Camper, a camping-friendly variant of the Hyundai Staria MPV. 

The Hyundai Staria is priced at 49,470,000 won or $40,000 and the luxurious Camper 4 is priced at 68,580,000 won ($55,400). You will have to shell out extra amount for additional equipment. For example, all-wheel drive (HTRAC) is priced at an extra $1,500 while various packages (comfort, convenience, camping) are also offered at an additional cost.

The Hyundai Staria takes into account other utilities including a shower head at the back, a mosquito net on the tailgate to prevent bugs so that two people can sleep comfortably. There are also various power sockets to install coffee maker, toaster or even a TV.

The Hyundai Staria gets an electrically deployable pop-out roof tent and an air mattress for even greater sleeping accommodations. The spacious cabin of the Staria Lounge Camper includes a 36-litre refrigerator, a sink and faucet set, a folding table, and built-in side shelves.

The Hyundai Staria is powered by a 2.2-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder engine and a naturally aspirated V6 3.5-litre petrol and LPG engine. There's no electric version as of now.
