Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir: 10 Things You Want To Know About World's Tallest Hindu Temple

Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, located in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, is the tallest temple in the world. The iconic temple celebrates Lord Krishna's blessings to the world on an epic scale.

 

The architecture of Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir has been inspired by two prominent temples of Vrindavan - Sri Madanmohanji Mandir and Sri Radha Govindji Temple.

The temple will stand at an impressive 700 feet and has a built-up area of 50,000 square metres (540,000 sq ft). The project is set in 260 hectares (642 acres) of land.

The foundation of the temple is 55 meters deep, 5 meters deeper than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest structure in the world. 

Because of its seismic isolation systems and shock-absorbing foundations, the temple will be able to withstand earthquakes up to a magnitude of 7.5.

The deities of Sri Radha Vrindavan Chandra will be installed in the Main Temple Hall. This spacious hall can accommodate a large number of people. 

 

The temple has been planned by the followers of Srila Prabhupada, the founder and Acharya of ISKCON. A museum will be set up as a tribute to the Acharya. 

There will be a biodiversity park featuring various zones with specific themes like a sacred forest, butterfly park, and ayurvedic herbal garden. There will also be a Krishna-themed amusement park.

Skywalks will connect the various areas of this expansive complex, providing pilgrims with a unique opportunity to explore the complex while taking in the lofty views.

The temple will feature a 12-acre parking area, a helipad, a spacious Gaushala, and a large convention hall for religious and cultural events.
