Mahakumbh 2025 Train Ticket Booking Via QR Code: Indian Railways has introduced a toll-free helpline, a dedicated website, and the Mahakumbh Mela App to provide seamless services for event attendees. Pilgrims simply need to locate railway staff in green jackets featuring a QR code, scan it, and book their tickets effortlessly. These facilities will be available throughout the Maha Kumbh, from January 13 to February 26.
Mahakumbh 2025: A Modern Ticketing Revolution
In preparation for the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj (January 13 - February 26), the Indian Railways has introduced a tech-savvy ticketing system. Passengers can now book train tickets effortlessly by scanning QR codes on railway staff’s green jackets. The QR code will also be available in posters at all the railway facilities in the region besides the Mela area.
Mahakumbh 2025: Identifying the Railway Staff
Pilgrims have to spot the railway staff or volunteers wearing easily recognizable green jackets with QR codes at key locations. They will assist devotees in navigating the digital ticketing process.
Mahakumbh 2025: Scan and Download the UTS App
Use your smartphone to scan the QR code on the staff’s jacket. It will redirect you to the Google Play Store to download the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) app.
Mahakumbh 2025: Seamless Ticket Booking
Once you install and log in to the UTS app, you can book unreserved tickets for stations within 50-100 km or over 200 km. Tickets for long-distance travel can also be booked up to 15 days in advance.
Mahakumbh 2025: Enjoy Added Perks
Passengers booking tickets through the QR code or UTS app will receive a Rs 3 cashback. They can also choose between paperless or printed tickets for added convenience.
Mahakumbh 2025: Multilingual Assistance
A 24x7 toll-free helpline, 1800-4199-139, is operational from January 1, offering support in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, and Odia. Additionally, announcements will be made in 12 languages for better accessibility.
