Lucknow Super Giants Probable Retention List Ahead Of IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Will LSG Retain KL Rahul?

The IPL Governing Council came up with a few rules ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. 

As per new rules, every team can retain a maximum of six players using Retentions and the Right to Match (RTM) options.

Lucknow Super Giants had a terrible IPL 2024 campaign as they ended seventh in the points table.

The Lucknow-based franchise can retain KL Rahul but purely as a batter. He may not continue as captain anymore.

South Africa’s star wicketkeeper batter Quinton de Kock can be also on the retention list of Lucknow Super Giants. 

West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran has been one of the most consistent performers for Lucknow and as a result, he may be retained by the franchise. 

Wrist spinner Ravi Bishnoi who has been a prolific bowler for Lucknow, may get his place in the team again in the IPL 2025.

The team is also impressed with express pacer Mayank Yadav, who recently earned his maiden India call-up and impressed during IPL 2024. He can be retained by the Lucknow-based franchise.
