Royal Challengers Bangalore are set to retain the services of former captain Virat Kohli, as per reports by NDTV. Notably, Kohli quit RCB captaincy after IPL 2021, however, he is expected to shoulder the batting responsibilities of the team. Notably, the 33-year-old is the highest run-getter in the IPL. He scored 405 runs last season, and was the 3rd best batter in the side.
Sanju Samson
Rajasthan Royals have retained skipper Sanju Samson for the upcoming 2022 season of the Indian Premier League after the Kerala wicketkeeper-batter agreed to a salary of Rs 14 crore. ESPNcricinfo website reported that the 27-year old will continue as captain of the Royals franchise. Samson had joined Royals in 2018 for Rs 8 crore.
