Vakratunda Mahakaya Suryakoti Samaprabha

Nirvighnam Kuru Me Deva Sarva-Kaaryeshu Sarvada

Meaning-

O Lord, with a curved trunk and a huge body, you emit the radiance of crores of Suns.

Remove all obstacles and bless me so that I succeed in every task that I undertake now and in future.

 

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः

गुरु साक्षात् परब्रह्मा तस्मै श्रीगुरुवेनमः

Gurur Brahmaa Gurur Vishnu

Gurur Devo Maheshwarah

Guru Saakshaata Parabrahma

Tasmai Shri Guruve Namah

Meaning

Guru (the knowledgeable one who dispels darkness ) is like the divine trinity – Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Like Brahma, the creator, guru creates the wisdom by illuminating the minds of his disciple; like Vishnu, he helps his disciple in sustaining the knowledge; like Shiva (Mahesh), he helps in the destruction of darkness or destruction.

सह नौ भुनक्तु ।

सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।

तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै ।

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Om Saha Nau-Avatu

Saha Nau Bhunaktu

Saha Viiryam Karavaavahai

Tejasvi Nau-Adhiitam-Astu Maa Vidvissaavahai

Meaning -

May the divine force protect all of us

May we all be nourished

May we all work together with great energy

May our intellectual understanding grow further

And may there be no hostility

OM Peace, OM Peace, OM Peace (May peace prevail)

The one who is the most auspicious, makes everything auspicious,
