New Delhi: Japan's head coach Park Joo Bong on Saturday said none of India's women's singles badminton stars rank among the top four when in comes to skills.
According to a report in the Times of India, the five-time world and former Olympic champion believes Saina relies on power and strength while Sindhu has issues with her court movement.
"None of the Indian women's singles players are skillful. They don't rank among the top four when it comes to skill. Saina doesn't have the skill but she relies a lot on power and speed. Sindhu has some problems with her movement on the court," Park said.
However he was of the opinion that Sindhu boasts of a better attacking game than even her Chinese counterparts.
"When she is in full flow Sindhu plays the best attacking game, even better than Li Xuerui and Wang Yihan. She has a good height and uses it well to smash the shuttle hard," he added.
Park also hailed the contribution of Pullela Gopichand to Indian badminton.
"Earlier, it was Prakash Padukone and after a long time Gopichand arrived on the scene. His career was cut short by injuries. But as a coach he has changed the face of Indian badminton. There are so many good international players from India now. It is all credit to Gopi, he managed to put a good system in place," Park said.
