DRDO’s anti-COVID drug 2-DG likely to be available by mid-June: Dr Reddy's

Commercial launch and supply of 2-DG to major government and private hospitals is expected to commence in mid-June, Dr Reddy's said. On May 17, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had released the first batch of 2-DG. The drug was approved for emergency use as an adjunct therapy in moderate to severe COVID-19 patients on DCGI on May 1.
