Beirut blast: India sends 58 mt humanitarian aid to Lebanon
India on Friday sent 58 mt relief to Lebanon in the aftermath of Beirut explosions that killed more than 150 people and rendered several homeless. In a special Indian Air Force's C17 aircraft India sent the emergency humanitarian aid, including crucial medical and food supplies. External Affairs Minister said, "India demonstrates solidarity with the people of Lebanon in the aftermath of the tragic explosions in Beirut" by sending relief to the country.

Lebanon Cabinet on Monday (August 10) resigned over last week's devastating explosion at the Beirut port which left 160 people dead and almost 6,000 injured.

French President to host donor conference to raise emergency relief for Beirut
Lebanon was already mired in a deep political and economic crisis when the blast ripped through its main port on Tuesday, killing 158 people, injuring more than 6,000 and destroying a swathe of the city. Rebuilding Beirut could run into the billions of dollars as economists forecast the blast could wipe up to 25% off of the country`s GDP. US President Donald Trump will also participate in the video-link conference.
