Bengaluru DCP sings national anthem to pacify crowd protesting against CAA
Even as the police is facing backlash over the handling of protests erupting in several parts of the country in the wake of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), a police officer in Karnataka's Bengaluru is winning the internet for his unique way of pacifying the protesters at Town Hall who had gathered to demonstrate against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the city.

Anti-Citizenship Act protests hit West Bengal, railway stations torched
The train services have primarily been hit across Murshidabad. Trains were stopped at Jangipur, Mahipal and other railway stations nearby. Trains services between Lalgola and Palasi has been cancelled. Protestors have torched down a ticket counter at Sakrail railway station.

4 dead in anti-Citizenship Act protests in Assam, school, colleges shut
There were no reports of violence from Guwahati on Friday where cultural personalities and civil society members were on fast for 10 hours following a call given by the All Assam Students Union, which is leading the protests. In the morning, the administration relaxed curfew in Guwahati and Dibrugarh, following which shops and markets opened the shutters and people queued up to stock food and other essentials in view of the ongoing protests.
