Former CEO Haroon Lorgat named in nine-member interim board to run CSA

Former CSA chief Haroon Lorgat and former batsman Omphile Ramela are named in the interim board, which will be chaired by Judge Zak Yaqoob. The nine-member interim CSA board is nominated by the South Africa sports minister along with the Members' Council, and the South African Cricketers' Association. In September, South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) had ordered CSA's board and senior executives to step aside.

Just yesterday (26 October), five members had submitted their resignations which included the acting president Beresford Williams. Cricket South Africa’s culture camp: new team identity, values solidified

A team culture camp organised for South Africa men’s cricket team has come to an end and a new team identity has been solidified. The camp was held between Aug.18 and 22 at Skukuza where all contracted players took part. The camp was aimed at bringing together players, the coaching and support staff of the national team to align on objectives and plot the road ahead. In the culture camp, the importance of values like belonging, empathy, respect were highlighted.

CSA calls Kallis jewel in their crown after ICC Hall of Fame induction

Kallis was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame along with former Australia women`s all-rounder Lisa Sthalekar and former Pakistan batsman Zaheer Abbas. Kallis is the only player to score at least 10,000 runs and take at least 250 wickets in both Test and ODI cricket. The former all-rounder is South Africa`s leading Test and ODI run-scorer, and is currently third on the all-time list in Test matches.
