DRDO creates new lab for focused research along China, Pakistan borders

"The DRDO has created a new laboratory named Defence Geo Informatics Research Establishment by merging two exiting labs," government sources told ANI. The merger of these labs is the first step in the large-scale reforms to be taken in the DRDO by its Chief Dr G Satheesh Reddy to make the organisation "leaner, mean, and more result-oriented".

DRDO successfully test-fires Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile system

Singh said, "First launch test on 13th Nov proved the Radar and Missile capabilities with direct hit. Today’s test demonstrated the warhead performance on proximity detection." The flight test, second in the series was conducted on Tuesday at around 3:42 PM from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, off the coast of Odisha. The flight test was conducted in the deployment configuration of the weapon system comprising of Launcher, fully Automated Command and Control System, Surveillance System and Multi-Function.

India to carry out multiple launches of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles
