11 officials suspended for lapses in implementation of excise policy: Sources

Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has suspended 11 officials over "serious lapses" in the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22 This includes then Delhi excise commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna and deputy excise commissioner Anand Kumar Tiwari The action was taken by Saxena on the basis of an inquiry report filed by the Directorate of Vigilance (DoV)

Delhi: 360 arrested in three weeks for consuming alcohol in public places

The drive was launched on November 7 and action has been taken against the violators under Section 40 of the Delhi Excise Act and they are handed over to Delhi Police for further action as per law.
